Stourport Swifts 1, Coventry Sphinx 0
A second half goal from Ben Maund against his former club was enough to give managerless Stourport the points at the end of a game that had a distinctly end of season feel to it.
Chances were few and far between with both sides having little to play for other than pride.
Swifts shaded the opening 45 minutes and created the only two chances of note when Ashley Parsons-Smith twice broke clear only to be denied by visiting keeper Carl O’Neil.
It was a similar tale in the second period with the home defence denying Sphinx a shot on target, Paul Hurrell, Ashley Bunn and Jamie Willets all worthy of a mention.
The breakthrough came on the hour when Maund was picked out by an excellent cross from Rory Curtis before steering his shot beyond the visiting keeper.
There should have been another for the Walshes Meadow side late on when teenager Harry Beaumont escaped his marker five minutes from time only to miss the target.
