NEW Stourport Swifts manager Mark Phillips is looking forward to the challenge of playing Kidderminster Harriers at Walshes Meadow on Saturday.
Swifts kick-off their friendly programme this weekend (3pm ko) and the boss, who filled the void left by Rod Brown this summer, is expecting a tough work out.
He said: “It’s not ideal to have such a tough one to start, but we are delighted to see the Harriers here, and it will be a fantastic experience for some of our younger players.
“We have retained a good nucleus of players from last year, and have some useful additions.
“We have been working hard on the physical and fitness side, so we are looking forward to it."
Swifts follow up with another home match next Tuesday night against Bilston Town (7.45pm).
