Brocton 1, Stourport Swifts 5

Stourport Swifts cruised into the preliminary round of the FA Cup with this comfortable win against Brocton.

Swifts continued their impressive start to the season by taking the lead in the second minute, Ben Maund thumping a low right foot shot past the Brocton keeper from fifteen yards.

Further chances went begging as the vistors took control, with Maund firing a fierce drive against the post before Joe Phillips eluded his marker at the near post to score with a crisp header from Paul Hurrell's left wing corner.

Maund scored his second just before the break with a low free-kick from 25 yards to put his side 3-0 up at half-time.

Reece Shilvock forced home the third after Phillips' shot was well saved, and Brocton pulled one back with ten minutes left when Berks bundled home after some sloppy defending.

The best came last when Phillips and Shivlock exchanged passes twice in the Brocton box for Shivlock to slide in a low right foot shot to make it 5-1.

Swifts face Alvechurch at home in the next round.

On Saturday Swifts are away to Bardon Hill (3pm ko).

Swifts: Richards, Hanson, Willets, Wollacot, Hyde, Hill, Robinson, Hurrell, Phillips, Maund, Rogers. Subs used: Shilvock, Dean, Wager.
