STOURPORT Swifts boss Mark Phillips is relishing the chance to take on Midlands Premier giants Hereford when the two sides clash in the Polymac League Cup semi-final first leg at Walshes Meadow tonight (7.45pm ko).

Swifts are braced for another large crowd when the Bulls, who attract crowds over 4,000 at home, come to Wyre Forest.

They recorded a fine 2-0 win over Hereford in August but suffered a 6-0 loss at Edgar Street.

They go into the game in good form as they cement a top half of the table finish.

“Hereford are a very good team but we’re in pretty good form,” said Phillips.

“Whatever the result I want us to put in a good performance and who knows what will happen.”

Swifts go to Hereford on April 28 for the second leg (7.45pm ko).

They picked up four points in the league over the week.

They drew 1-1 at Highgate United last Thursday, with Julian Triana on target, before Jack Bailey bagged a winner as Swifts edged out the Birmingham outfit on Monday night.

On Saturday, Stourport go to Loughborough University (3pm ko) and then welcome Walsall Wood on Tuesday night (7.45pm ko).

l In the West Midlands Premier, Bewdley were edged out 3-2 by Wolves Casuals.

They entertain Bewdley tonight (7.45pm ko) and Stone Old Alleynians on Saturday (3pm ko).
