Warriors

7 Pennell – A solid showing from the experienced full-back in his first start since Boxing Day. Replaced by Perry Humphreys after 61 minutes.

8 Heem – Blotted his copybook with a first-half yellow card but the powerful wing redeemed himself with a brace of crucial tries.

8 Olivier – The veteran centre had the legs at the death to race on to Ryan Mills’ kick ahead for the final try which sealed Warriors’ triumph.

7 Willison – Had a decent first half and took a big hit in the second period. Replaced by Ryan Lamb with four minutes left.

8 Adams – The young Welshman continues to show his growing promise. Lively in attack and sound in defence.

7 Mills – Linked up well with Francois Hougaard and more accurate with his boot. But his pass was intercepted by Tom Varndell for a late Bristol try.

9 HOUGAARD – The South African scrum-half was the best player on the field by some distance. Scored a crucial try after racing clear and set up another as Warriors took control in the first half.

8 Rapava Ruskin – The Gloucester-bound loosehead was at his physical best after injury and won several important turnovers in defence.

8 Taufete’e – A near faultless 80 minutes for the strong ball-carrying hooker who was called into the starting line-up after Niall Annett’s late withdrawal through injury. An excellent performance.

8 Schonert – The tighthead gave his all in scrum and made several powerful carries until he was replaced with 10 minutes left.

8 O’Callaghan – The Ireland legend has been a revelation since taking over the Warriors captaincy. His early decision to go for the corner proved decisive.

8 Spencer – Fast becoming one of the first names on Gary Gold’s teamsheet. Some of his work in the tackle area was first-class.

8 Vui – The giant Samoan was dominant in the line-out and offered plenty in the loose as he got over the gain-line countless times.

8 Lewis – The Welsh flanker covered a lot of ground and worked hard in defence when Bristol tried to turn the screw early in the second half.

8 Mama – Recalled to Warriors’ starting line-up against his former club. Added much-needed bulk to the number eight position which has been lacking at times this season.
