Warriors.

7 Howard – back after his spell with England sevens, the full-back was full of running, picking some good lines to launch attacks and set up Howe’ second try.

8 Howe – took his chances superbly as he bagged a brace and was a constant threat down the left wing using his pace to great effect.

7 Hammond – does not look as comfortable in midfield but linked up nicely with Stelling and was willing to do the ugly stuff as well as he tackled hard throughout.

8 Stelling – a real bright spark for Warriors as he distributed well, assisting for Howe’s opener, and asked Oyonnax plenty of questions.

7 Humphreys – did not get a try on his return to the side but was a dangerous runner and made some important tackles as he denied Taieb at the death.

7 Olver – after a sloppy start the fly-half soon sharpened up his act, producing pin-point kicks and got back brilliantly to thwart Ruiz who burst through.

6 Dowsett – struggled to make an impression during his 55-minute stint while his replacement Baldwin injected energy into the side and scored late on.

8 Bower – appeared to relish the role as captain as he stepped up his game in all departments, making a notable break midway through the first half.

6 Taufete’e – failed to find his target at the line-out on a couple of occasions but showed a lot of desire as he made a strong contribution in the loose 7 Milasinovich – gave another decent account of himself as he held firm in the scrum which had the upper hand over the visitors.

7 Phillips – smashed away at Oyonnax’s defence in an abrasive showing from the lock but as chief lineout caller the set piece did not go to plan at times.

6 Barry – got another 80 minutes under his belt for Warriors and had a decent afternoon although he made some mistakes.

6 Taylor – battled hard against a physical French outfit but was not able to inflict the same damage to Oyonnax’s defence as his fellow forwards.

7 Durutalo – getting better with every minute he plays for Warriors as he carried strongly to keep the away side pinned back.

8 DENTON – gained many metres for his side and used all his strength and determination to cap off a superb all-round display with a late try. My man of the match.
