WORCESTER Warriors have suffered a huge blow with centre Wynand Olivier facing up to 10 weeks out with a hamstring problem.
The South Africa international was forced off with the injury at half-time in Worcester’s 41-35 defeat at Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership last Saturday.
Warriors have confirmed the 34-year-old, who returned from a hamstring issue earlier this month, would be out for between eight to 10 weeks.
Backs coach Sam Vesty said: "Oli is a big player for us. He runs a lot of lines and really gets us on the front foot, so to lose him is always going to be a bad blow.
“But I thought Jono (Lance) and Jacko (Jackson Willison) did a really good job in a reorganised backline.”
Scrum-half Jonny Arr (concussion) and back rower David Denton (knee) also suffered blows during the clash at The Stoop.
But Warriors expect Denton to be back in one week with a medial collateral ligament injury while Arr is currently going through the return to play protocol.
