WARRIORS

5 Pennell – a sorry day for the full-back who was outclassed by his opposite number Le Roux and gave Wade far too much space to exploit out wide.

6 Heem – made some powerful surges but was working off scraps most of the time as Warriors kicked away possession too many times.

6 Te’o – a mixed bag from the centre who produced moments of quality to escape tackles, but appeared indecisive when he looked to offload.

5 Willison – in stark contrast to last weekend’s win over Newcastle where he shone the centre had little impact on the game at Wasps.

6 Adams – burst into life late on with a try and played a key role in Hammond’s score, but two of Wasps’ tries came on his wing.

5 Jones – miscued his first kick from hand and missed a long-range penalty moments later. His afternoon did not get much better after that.

5 Dowsett – made far too many mistakes as he conceded turnovers and his decision to take a tap penalty when Warriors were close to the try-line did not pay off.

5 Bower – keeping his place in the side, the prop was unable to stop Launchbury powering over from close range and provided little in the loose.

5 Singleton – got around the field well as he looked to get his hands on the ball but ill-discipline let him down once again.

6 Schonert – did not have a bad game as he turned the screw in the scrum in the second-half as ex-Warriors prop Mullan was penalised on a couple of occasions.

5 Barry – his failure to gather Singleton’s throw at the lineout led to Wade’s second try and was replaced by Kitchener early in the second half.

7 SPENCER – not a faultless display but the lock kept banging at the door, making one notable galloping run in the first half, and tackled well. My man of the match.

5 Denton – showed good intent from the off but spurned a great chance to score when Wasps were down to 14 men and missed a couple of tackles.

6 Lewis – difficult to question the flanker’s work-rate but errors crept into his game too as he lost the ball in contact when Warriors looked to strike.

5 van Velze – gifted possession on one too many occasions as he was stripped of the ball moments before Wade opened the scoring.
