Steve Moore: Hit a century in the drawn match at Northamptonshire.
IT has been another frustrating week with the weather and once again it has put paid to us picking up our first LVCC County Championship win.
As a unit at Northamptonshire, I thought that everyone bowled magnificently, especially Steve Magoffin. To get them out so cheaply was superb, especially after most of the first day was lost to rain.
Steve Moore hit another fine century and he is looking in good nick at the moment. If he keeps going like he is then perhaps further honours will follow.
Having lost almost a day to rain, our aim was always to hit 400 as quickly as possible to get our maximum batting points.
But, as the match went on, the wicket got better and better for batting and, by the final day, you could see that it was improving by the hour.
Nicky Boje played beautifully and, with us being a bowler light following the injury to Kabir Ali, it was always going to be a tough ask and I had to do a lot of bowling myself.

Tomorrow, we head to Kidderminster to face Loughborough University and there are two schools of thought about these university games.
Some people feel that it is not particularly worthwhile because there are no points at stake and there is another where it gives some of the big guns a chance to have a rest.
This match will give Matt Mason, Simon Jones and Graeme Hick time back on the pitch following their injuries and that is great.
The trip to Northampton last week was quite a quiet one. We have got a new coach this year and I have to say it is fantastic.
We have Sky television and everything on it. There is the usual card school going on and Daryl Mitchell is still cleaning up.
There was Mooro sat at the front trying to act intelligently doing the Times crossword, while we watched a couple of films on the journey too.
While at Northampton, I went out for a meal with Steve Peters and went to watch the Chelsea and Liverpool semi-final with his dad. Now he is a massive Chelsea fan and was getting rather excited - I just kept quiet.
It appears that the lads have got a new nickname for me. Following the London Mayor elections, much to Kabby's amusement, they have started to call me Boris - after the new London Mayor Boris Johnson.
Now I hope it is not because they think I act like him, but I'm not completely sure that I look like him either.
Either way it has taken off, but I can live with it.
