FANS are being urged to play their part as Worcester Wolves go in search of more play-off glory in the British Basketball League.

Managing director Mick Donovan wants supporters to pack out the University Arena, as they have done on many occasions this season, for tomorrow’s quarter-final first leg against London Lions (7.30pm).

Wolves, who play the second leg in the capital on Sunday, are defending the crown they won by beating Newcastle Eagles at Wembley Arena last May.

Donovan said: “The environment in the arena is special and the atmosphere enables the team to feed off the crowd and visa versa.

“Clearly, we have to perform away from home as well in the series but the support from the home leg will be ringing in the players ears.

“For those who have sampled an intense home game, I am sure that they will not miss this one. For those who have not, you could not pick a better game to experience the Wolf pack in full cry and, I am sure, see a team that gives everything in return.”

Worcester finished third in the league for the second season running.
