WORCESTER Wolves will face rivals Newcastle Eagles in the BBL Trophy semi-finals after beating Glasgow Rocks 85-66 tonight.

The quarter-final success at the University of Worcester Arena means Wolves visit defending champions Newcastle for the first leg on Friday and then host the second match on Sunday, February 14.

The 2014 champions Worcester led from start to finish against their Scottish visitors as on-song Slovakian Pavol Losonsky netted 26 points and claimed 10 rebounds.

Wolves were 28-21 in front after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 54-38 at half-time.

They edged another four points ahead in the third quarter at 73-53 before Rocks, who lost in the 2014 Trophy final to Wolves, closed the gap in the final stages.

Perris Blackwell, operating off the bench, added 15 points, Orlan Jackman 13 and Jay Couisnard 11 for Wolves.

The Worcester players showed no ill-effects after being involved in a motorway crash on Friday.

The smash meant their BBL clash at Leeds Force had to be postponed later that evening.
