HEAD coach Paul James says Worcester Wolves will need to produce their “peak performance” to see off battling Bristol Flyers tonight (7.30).

Wolves have defeated Bristol three times this season and will be confident of securing a fourth win at the Wise Basketball Arena.

But James insisted they cannot take their opponents – who have lost their last three games and are 10th in the British Basketball League – lightly.

“It is hard to put out your peak performance two nights in a row,” said James, whose side tackled London Lions at the Copper Box last night.

“But that’s something we have to try and do to win.

“We have always had to battle hard to beat Bristol as they are a good team and very solid, so we can’t take them for granted.

“We have got to go out there and make sure we execute our sets.”

Wolves are looking to secure a place in the top four ahead of the play-offs, and James added: “It is the penultimate weekend, so if we can get a win against Bristol going into the final weekend of the regular season that would be great.

“It would be nice to cement our position in the league and then we can look forward to the final weekend.”
