WORCESTER Wolves’ season is over after they crashed to a 173-141 aggregate defeat to Glasgow Rocks in the British Basketball League play-off quarter-finals.
Paul James’ men won the second leg 88-83 today at the University of Worcester Arena but paid a heavy price for a “horror story” showing in Scotland on Friday night.
It is the second successive season that Wolves have crashed out in the play-offs at the quarter-final stage.
Jordan Aaron led Wolves’ charge in the second leg with a 20-point haul, while Perris Blackwell and Orlan Jackman both contributed 14 points each.
But the 37-point cushion Glasgow had opened up from the first leg proved far too much damage for Wolves to repair.
