WORCESTER Wolves failed to withstand a stunning final quarter from Leicester Riders who came from behind to win 77-66.

Paul James’ side led 42-39 at half-time and held a slender 58-55 advantage going into the final 10-minute period at the Leicester Sports Arena.

However, the reigning British Basketball League champions produced their best until last as they rattled in 22 points compared to Wolves’ eight to clinch the win.

Brandon Clarke was the star for the hosts as he landed 20 points and made seven assists.

Danny Huffor and Jermel Kennedy led the scoring for Wolves with 18 points each, while Trevor Setty (11) got also into double figures.

Deondre McWhorter made his first appearance since after his delayed arrival from America.
