IT was a busy day yesterday for motorway traffic cops with crashes and a lorry seizure.

The Worcestershire OPU (Operations Patrol Unit) responded to a number of crashes across the county on Wednesday (September 21) with the B team busy making the scenes safe and keeping traffic moving.

In addition, the team arrested one driver for drink-driving after a stop, with the driver found to be still over the legal limit from the night before according to the officers involved.

As well as the crashes and the arrest, a lorry was stopped on the M5 near Frankley Services, where the driver was found to be a wanted person.
