One of Kidderminster's finest songwriters passed away recently. I was shocked to find out last week that he was no longer with us. ROB GERAGHTY of the band MEG was a musical genius and wrote some of the best music I've ever heard. I urge anyone that calls themselves a serious music journalist to pay respect to this great musician and talk about the man and his music. On my radio show I intend on doing a tribute to Rob Geraghty and the music he wrote in the band Meg. Over the years I had great pleasure running into Rob Geraghty and his band through the live music circuit and I always enjoyed watching the band grow musically. I had the honour in 2006 of organising a headlining gig for Meg at DY10 (ex Redwoods) in Kidderminster and they were just mind-blowing.

I didn't know him like a brother but his music has been in my life and many other peoples lives over the years so I urge you all to pay respect to a great man and play his music. For those that didn't get a chance to meet Rob Geraghty or ever come across the music then let me suggest listening to the 'Lego Hair' EP and the 'You're The Teacher' EP by the band 'Meg'. They are two great examples of the music of Rob Geraghty and you should be able to hear them on the 'Meg' website wearemeg.co.uk

All my love and respect to Rob Geraghty A true genius
