In the heart of the Golden Valley, in an outstanding setting, with stunning far reaching views from Mayhill to the Malverns, a unique opportunity to purchase a modern steel framed barn with permitted development rights to create a very individual home. All set in 5 acres of land ideal, for a variety of uses.

Situation and Description

Beautifully situated on a small country lane and with land that gently slopes away, the barn enjoys stunning and uninterrupted far reaching views for many, many miles to parts of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire in the distance. Although, tucked away it is not isolated with one nearby neighbour and a range of local services at the nearby villages of Peterchurch, Michaelchurch and Kingstone. More extensive facilities are then available at the ever-popular market town of Hay on Wye, with its world-renowned book festival, and at the cathedral city of Hereford to the north-east..

Originally built as an agricultural storage barn, this steel framed building now has permitted development which was granted by Herefordshire Council on the 29th July 2019 (details of which are attached) with the option now to create a very contemporary four bedroomed home. Services would need to be bought onto the site as one would expect, but there is plenty of space for ground source heat pumps, etc on the properties own land subject of course to any necessary approval.

The land in total extends to approximately 5 acres and gently slopes away from the property with the views creating a stunning backdrop behind. Currently laid to pasture there is plenty of space for a variety of uses from keeping a small head of stock to equestrian use.

In our view the barn offers an outstanding and all too rare opportunity to create a very individual property in an unspoilt setting.
