An English heritage grade two listed example of a C13th three bay Cruck construction, the cottage was renovated by the current owners after they purchased it from the family who had owned it for over 70 years. It was featured on the BBC, in Monty Don's rural craft series, where the base thatch was discovered to be the oldest in the country. There is a plethora of period features, including exposed beams, large elm floorboards (from the reformation of the monasteries) and a magnificent inglenook fireplace and bread oven.
