THE Three Counties Showground has just hosted DOGTASTIC for the very first time, and it did not disappoint visitors.

Home to the region’s most prestigious events including RHS Malvern Spring Festival and the world-renowned Royal Three Counties Show, the 90-acre showground welcomed over 2,500 wagging tails and families for the one-day event.

From socialising with other dogs in the Unleashed Dog Park to getting some tasty treats in the Food Market, both dogs and all their owners had a lot to see and do at event.

The Ruff and Tumble Arena lived up to its name with thrilling displays of agility and obedience as the crowd cheered for their favourite dogs. The Fun Dog Show rings were extremely popular with over 300 entries and lots of rosettes given out to the prettiest of pooches. Visitors even had fun learning new tricks and routines with the Pink Welly Trick Team.

Diana Walton, Head of Shows, was thrilled at the response to this brand-new event all about dogs: “After the lockdown and gloom of the past few months, this event brought a much-needed light-hearted day of entertainment, shopping and interactive family fun.

“DOGTASTIC’s aim was to capture the joy that dogs bring and provide visitors with the chance to enjoy a fun-filled day out with their beloved pets. It really was a dog's delight for all and I really think we achieved this seeing all the smiling faces and wagging tails.”

After being awarded the Visit England ‘Good to Go’ charter mark earlier this year, the team at Three Counties has been running a series of new small-scale events to serve the community and ensure the survival of the world-famous-showground during the Covid-19 pandemic.
