A STUDENT from Kidderminster will take to the catwalk in London next month, after winning a modelling contest in Manchester.

Ben Caswell-James, 20, of Spennells, was head-hunted by an agent who saw his pictures on a promotional website for models.

Ben was one of 10, chosen from 500 models, to take part in a contest called Manchester's Next Top Model, at the Circus Genting Casino, in Central Manchester, on Friday, September 24.

He appeared in a fashion show, judged by Nemesis modelling agency, who chose him as the winner. His prize was £500 and a modelling contract with Nemesis.

Ben, a former student at King Charles I School, who has been modelling since the age of 10, said: “It feels amazing. It’s the start of good things.”

Ben’s next challenge is London’s Next Top Model on Tuesday, November 30th, organised by D1 agency.

He added: ”I am ready and prepared for the competition in London. I have been doing this for about 10 years.”

Ben who is studying for a foundation degree, in acting, at Kidderminster College, also appears in contemporary, film and theatre perfomances and said he is looking to move to LA in five years time to pursue an acting career.
