A RETIRED art teacher from Birmingham will be joining the Kidderminster Art Society to demonstrate portrait painting using Acrylic paints.

Keith Turley, who was commissioned by the Heritage Foundation to paint portraits of Tony Hancock, Eric Morecombe, Gracie Fields and Norman Wisdom, will be speaking at Trimpley Village Hall next Thursday.

His current exhibition at Himley Hall called All in a day’s work brings together a collection of paintings on the theme of people in different environments, including work and leisure.

The exhibition runs until Sunday, September 1.

The Art Society meets weekly at Trimpley Village Hall at 7.15 pm.

A spokesman for the Art Society said: “We look forward to having a good crowd for Keith’s demo when visitors will be given a warm welcome.

“If you haven’t yet been to see the newly refurbished village hall at Trimpley then this is a great opportunity to enjoy the lovely setting with its views across the fields and hills.”
