KENNETH Branagh’s Theatre Company Live cinema season will come to Bewdley and Bromsgrove this weekend with a new vision of Shakespeare's heartbreaking tale of forbidden love.
Branagh and his team have created a modern version of the classic tragedy Romeo and Juliet, currently showing at London's Garrick Theatre.
A longstanding feud between Verona's Montague and Capulet families brings about devastating consequences for two young lovers caught in the conflict.
Reuniting the stars of his celebrated film Cinderella, Kenneth Branagh directs Game of Thrones star Richard Madden and Downton Abbey actress Lily James, as Romeo and Juliet, and Sir Derek Jacobi as Mercutio.
Kenneth Branagh's Romeo and Juliet will be screened at St George's Hall in Bewdley on Friday (July 7) from 7pm, and then at the Artrix in Bromsgrove on Sunday (July 10) from 7.30pm.
Tickets for both screenings on are available online, from thehall-bewdley.org.uk and artrix.co.uk.
