AN all-male cast will perform Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew in the outdoor amphitheatre at the Bishops Wood Centre near Stourport on Saturday, June 25.
The Festival Players Theatre Company, will present the play as it would traditionally have been done in Shakespeare's day – with an all-male cast playing several roles each.
The production also features an original score by the well-known composer and folk performer, Johnny Coppin.
John Rhymer, head of Bishops Wood Centre, said: "This is a new departure for Bishops Wood. We have a beautiful site which provides the ideal setting for this outdoor production of one of Shakespeare's most popular plays. The warm, light nights are a great opportunity to get family and friends together to enjoy a picnic and this wonderful performance."
The play starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Huntingdon Hall box office or by calling 01905 611427. For directions visit bishopswoodcentre.org.uk/
