BEWDLEY Open Studios annual exhibition will welcome performance poetry for the first time.
This weekend work from 55 artists will be displayed at 17 venues including the Bewdley Museum, the new gallery at Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre, artists' private houses and the historic Ruskin Studio at Uncllys Farm. Opening hours are from 10am to 5pm each day.
Local performance poets, Emma Purshouse and Heather Wastie will also be entertaining residents, visitors and school students at four sites in Bewdley and Wribbenhall, over the weekend.
The pair are members of the newly-formed Brewers’ Troupe theatre and poetry group.
Emma writes for adults and children and has performed her work across the country, while Heather is a wordsmith, humorist and musician.
Bewdley Open Studios is sponsored by The Friends of Bewdley Museum, Wyre Forest District Council, The Elmley Arts Fund and the Mid-Counties Co-Operative.
