MEMBERS of a Kidderminster choir will be in fine voice next month as they look to support a charity via their annual concert.

Kidderminster Valentines will perform at the Town Hall from 7.30pm on Saturday, May 6 with special guests Liverpool Male Voice Choir, with whom they performed with in their home city last year.

The show is set to feature a varied programme of music from both choirs, including some old favourites and brand new pieces from the Valentines.

This year, the group has decided to support the Mayor of Kidderminster’s chosen charity the Kidderminster Hospital League of Friends.

Sue Strong, from the Valentines, said: “For many years, the annual concert has been held in early February but this year we decided on a break from tradition and have it in May when the nights will be lighter and the weather warmer.

“We have chosen the Kidderminster Hospital League of Friends because choir members are very aware of the wonderful work that this organisation does in supporting the hospital in providing vital equipment when needed.”

Balcony tickets cost £12 and Hall tickets cost £10 and are available from Kidderminster Town Hall, John Beards in Bridge Street or by calling Judy Morris on 01562 751753.

The choir is currently recruiting new members and anyone interested and are free on Thursday evenings for rehearsal should contact Jenny Raftery via email at jennyrafterygb@gmail.com or by calling 07825 599740.
