TWO successful classical musicians from Kidderminster will perform at the town’s library tomorrow evening.
Singer, Russell Painter, will be accompanied by David Morgan to perform for the Classical Music Society. The concert will include opera, works by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Gilbert and Sullivan and some Neapolitan songs, including O Sole Mio.
The two artists have been friends for more than 20 years.
This will be Russell’s third appearance for the society and David’s fourth. A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, in London, Russell has appeared in The Magic Flute, Hansel and Gretel and many more including, this year, a production of The Marriage of Figaro, in France, taking the role of Don Basilio. He has also performed in several musicals, including West Side Story, Half a Sixpence and Guys and Dolls.
The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets are available from Kidderminster Library or from society vice–chairman, Von Stewart, on 01562 755990.
There might be a limited number of tickets available at the door but organisers are advising visitors to book beforehand.
