Television camera crews have been granted access to one of the country’s busiest hospitals to highlight some of the tens of thousands of assaults committed against NHS staff each year: Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The documentary comes shortly after the NHS said there had been a 1% drop in the number of assaults against its staff and a small rise in prosecutions.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the programme.
The show demonstrated how frequent attacks toward staff are and how needed security is at the Birmingham hospital.
The programme struck a chord with viewers who sympathised with staff who work so hard for the NHS and for little money.
