Beyonce shared a host of throwback pictures as she wished Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland a happy birthday.

Rowland turned 37 on Monday and to celebrate Beyonce posted several pictures of the pair together on Instagram.

The first was a black-and-white snap of Rowland as a schoolgirl while another showed her and Beyonce, this time slightly older, tucking in to what appears to be chicken wings.

In another of the images, a smiling Rowland is being carried on the back of Beyonce.

Beyonce, also 37, captioned the post: “Happy Birthday Kelly! I love you Deep Deep.”

She also referenced a song from film The Colour Purple before adding: “Walking through them middle school hallways like ‘Rollin Rollin Rollin’.”

Rowland marked her birthday with an Instagram post of her own, sharing three pictures of her at the beach.

She wrote: “I woke up this am feeling extremely blessed to see another year.”

Childhood friends Beyonce and Rowland were part of Destiny’s Child alongside Michelle Williams.

One of the most successful girl groups of all-time, they sold millions of records around the world thanks to hits such as Say My Name, Survivor and Bootylicious.

Their fourth and final studio album, Destiny Fulfilled, was released in 2004, though they have occasionally reunited, most notably for Beyonce’s headline performance at Coachella in April 2018.
