A BEER festival where your ticket lets you drink all the beer you want - that's the simple and very brilliant idea behind Beer Central festival.

And who is not going to enjoy that?

The idea of unlimited refills (with little to no queuing) sounds like what every festival should be - but could that be dangerous? What could possibly go wrong?

Nothing as it turns out - it was the perfect beer festival.

We Are Beer’s first festival in the Midlands promised to bring the best in beer, food and music to 119 in Digbeth.

Taking place across Friday and Saturday, July 5 and 6, the festival celebrated both local and international breweries, attracting beer aficionados as well as music fans from across the country.

The line-up featured world-class beer and food from Original Patty Men, Purecraft Bar and Kitchen, and Baked in Brick.

There was 20 plus local beer legends such as Neon Raptor, Glass House and Dig Brew Co. alongside top UK breweries including Siren, Deya, Wild Beer and Thornbridge.

It was chilled out, friendly, and had an amazing and incredibly varied array of drinks.

Music wise there was DJ sets from Kaiser Chiefs and DJ Yoda.

There was also one of London’s most legendary events – Hip Hop Karaoke.

The karaoke was a bit of an odd choice but went down well with lots of people.

Must have been the beer.

Ultimate Power also joined the line-up; dedicated to music’s ‘ultimate’ compositions, they run sell-out club nights in five cities across the UK where customers can enjoy hit after hit of the world’s greatest ballads.

From up-and-coming stars of the scene to ground-breaking producers at the top of their game, Beer Central showcased some of the most respected and interesting names in the world of beer.

It promised the best, and didn't disappoint.
