BEWDLEY residents have been warned to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity during the day following two daytime burglaries in the town yesterday.

Thieves broke into a house in Sandbourne Drive between 7.30am and 3pm and stole a Toshiba laptop worth £200 and a £200 Apple iPod touch.

Det Sgt Duncan Lloyd of Kidderminster CID said: "Being daytime burglaries we are looking into the possibility of whether they are linked and are hoping someone may have noticed the burglars hanging around the area.

"We are eager to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around Sandbourne Drive or Crundalls Lane yesterday.”

Witnesses or anyone with information about the burglaries should contact Det Sgt Lloyd on 101, quoting incident 123-N-191112 or 468-S-191112 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
