GREAT Britain Paralympic swimmer Claire Cashmore ushered in a new era for Boots The Chemist in Kidderminster this morning.
The Wyre Forest multi-medallist cut the ribbon to officially open the company’s new store at Weavers Wharf.
It marked the completion of a move across town from the Swan Centre which had been home to Boots for more than 35 years.
The new store, which has 40 staff, brings together an opticians and pharmacy under one roof for the first time.
A commemorative cake made specially for the occasion by customer assistant Julie Marshall took centre stage at the opening.
