DRIVERS in parts of Wyre Forest are being urged to take care as heavy rain continues across the district.
The Environment Agency has issued flooding alerts for the River Stour in Kidderminster and Dowles Brook, Bewdley.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) and the Safer Roads Partnership have released statements warning people in effected areas to leave any non-essential travel until flooding has cleared.
HWFRS station commander Alan Haley said: “We are urging all motorists to exercise caution if they find themselves driving through flood water.”
Vicki Bristow from the Safer Roads Partnership added: “Some localised flooding still exists so our advice is to stay alert to local weather and news reports.
“If your area is experiencing flooding it’s advisable to leave any non essential travel until any flooding has subsided.”
