SALES of a CD and album in aid of Charlie have gone “through the roof” as the town rallies to support his family.
Former colleagues of Charlie’s father, Joe Beard, recorded the songs after being touched by the brave two-year-old’s cancer battle.
The Kidderminster postmen and women, who have called themselves Rubber Band Aid, released Santa I’ve Been Good This Year, for charity Cords4Life, which was set up to raise awareness of umbilical cord donations in the UK.
Digital downloads have already raised almost £500 and the success of the single prompted the group to record an album of Christmas songs, which has collected more than £1,500 in pre-orders.
Postman Carl Wilkes said: “Pre-orders of the CD album have gone through the roof.
The response has been great.”
People can download the CD at rubberbandaid1.

Meanwhile, a midnight walk will also be held for the charity on Saturday from Kidderminster Town Hall to Stourport. People should turn up at the town hall in their pyjamas at 11pm.
A tombola will take place at the Midcounties Co-operative, Kidderminster, on Friday next week followed by bag packing the next day.
There will also be a 24-hour poolathon at the King Billy Pub, Kidderminster, on Saturday, December 1.
