A BEWDLEY golf club is putting cash raised throughout the year to two good causes.

Dreams Come True, a charity for terminally and seriously ill children and Chadsgrove School, which provides riding lessons for disabled people will benefit from a share of more than £2,500 from Little Lakes Golf Club.

Club captain John Bunce, who handed over the cheques for £1,000 to Chadsgrove and £1,546 to Dreams Come True, said money had been raised at golfing days and charity events, including raffles and skittles nights, held during 2012.

“It feels great to have been able to help these causes,” added Mr Bunce. “Last year when we raised money for Dreams Come True, it paid for five children and we had a letter from one who went fishing in Ireland thanking us.

“We said we would raise money for them again and some of our trustees have helped the children at Chadsgrove so we raised money for them as well.”

Dreams Come True helps ensure children with terminal or life-limiting illnesses have “unforgettable experience fulfilling their dreams”.

Chadsgrove School and Specialist Sports College is based in Bromsgrove is a school for children who have a physical disability and has an extensive outreach programme, working with several people and groups in Wyre Forest.
