KEMP Hospice is holding an afternoon tea in Blakedown to celebrate 20 years of its retail department.

Over the past two decades, the shops in Bewdley, Stourport, Kidderminster, Spennells and the furniture centre in Lisle Avenue, have raised nearly £900,000 for the hospice.

The afternoon tea will be held in the gardens of Park Hall, in Blakedown next Wednesday at 2pm to 4.30pm.

Guests will have the opportunity to look around the house and gardens at the event which includes a craft sale and fashion show by hospice staff and volunteers.

Lynne Jones, retail manager at Kemp Hospice, said: “We are really excited to be celebrating two decades of our retail division. “Over the past twenty years we have seen huge developments in the types of services we can provide and the amount of people we can care for.

“This celebration is an opportunity for us to say ‘thank you’ and show what we have been able to achieve through the support of all the people who buy from our shops.

“There will be several events taking place throughout the year and we intend to start in style with our afternoon at Park Hall.”

Tickets cost £15 and can be purchased at the Kemp Hospice shops or furniture warehouse.
