PUPILS leaving Stourport’s Burlish Park Primary School celebrated with a Second World War evening for their parents.
The Year Six youngsters went back in time to perform evacuation scenes and sang wartime songs, including Vera Lynn’s 1940s hit, We’ll Meet Again.
During the interval, pupils sold strawberry jam from with fruits grown on the school allotment and made using a wartime recipe. Parents were also treated to 1940s shortbread and homemade lemonade.
