ZIP wires, climbing walls and games were held as part of a fun day at the Memorial Park in Stourport.

About 1,000 residents attended the event which was organised by Wyre Forest District Council.

Kidderminster Harriers organised games of football for children as part of their Community Scheme and the district council’s sports development team were on hand to offer other sports activities.

The council was also asking residents for their views on the spending priorities in the coming year.

Councillor Ian Hardiman, cabinet member for community well-being said: “I received lots of positive feedback from parents and children which was pleasing.

“Their main feedback was that there was such a wide variety of activities to choose. It was fantastic to see so many happy faces and the great weather we had made it an even more enjoyable day.

“Well done to all the council teams that organised the event and made it such a success.”
