JAZZ fans enjoyed a stomping good time courtesy of Wyre Forest musician Geoff Goodwin, raising a record £875 for a leading cancer charity.
The annual gig by Geoff Goodwin and His Jazz Men, organised by the Wyre Forest Committee of Cancer Research UK, beat last year’s £860 total.
The popular event, which included a fish and chip supper, was staged for the first time at the Wribbenhall Parish Rooms as its regular venue at the Bewdley Institute was unavailable.
Committee chairman Peter Tomlinson said: “It was a tremendous evening. The whole mood was so positive and cheerful, it created a fantastic atmosphere.”
