KEEP-fit fanatics can work up a sweat during fitness sessions at Far Forest Tennis Club.

The tennis classes, which start on Saturday, September 7, will include motivational music.

Wyre Forest District Council is sponsoring the sessions, which will be held every Saturday between noon and 1pm for six weeks excluding September 21.

Conservative Ian Hardiman, the district council’s cabinet member for community well-being, said the classes were for people who found going to the gym boring but wanted to get fit.

“The fitness coach teaching the course is really enthusiastic and sessions involve a range of fun activities including music,” he added.

“We are encouraging people of all abilities to come down, get involved and get fit. Residents can enjoy a 25 per cent discount if they call in advance and book their place.”

People can book their places by contacting the authority’s sport development team on 01562 732974.

They can also visit wyreforestdc.gov.uk/sportsdevelopment for information on how to get involved in sport locally.
