GENEROUS Wyre Forest residents will be digging deep into their pockets to raise cash for Children in Need.
The annual appeal, which raises money to support children’s projects all over the UK, takes place today with people holding fund-raising events to boost the coffers.
Members of Cookley Rainbows have already done their bit for the charity in a quest to help break the world record for the longest piece of bunting.
Alicia Brighton, Rainbow leader, said: “The girls carefully cut out the Pudsey shapes and then learned how to iron the bears onto the bunting, using a travel iron. The Rainbows then decorated the bunting with Pudsey spots.”
Youngsters at St George’s CE Primary School, Kidderminster, are holding a non-uniform day today to raise cash.
They have already collected money for the charity during sponsored massages at the school on Friday last week and are still counting up the cash.
