Harriers boss Mark Yates paid tribute to those who helped make sure the match was able to go ahead on a very frosty night.
He said: "I would like to thank all those who came down to the ground this morning and got the blowers going and the sheets on the pitch to make sure the game was on."
He was delighted with the performance by his players and said: "I think we were always in control. I know we had a couple of scares in the last few minutes but I didn't think Stafford created any real chances. It was a professional performance."
There was further delight for Harriers because they moved up the table as Stevenage slipped up at home to St Albans.
Yates added: "Results seemed to have gone our way a little tonight but the players realise that it is what they do that counts. We can't do anything about anyone else's results but we have to keep doing our job."
