A TERRIFIED teenage girl sent would-be robbers fleeing when she screamed as they tried to snatch her handbag.
Detectives are investigating the attempted robbery, which happened in Broadwaters Park, Kidderminster.
The 14-year-old girl, who lives locally, was approached from behind by two men, who tried to grab her bag and iphone at about 8.40pm on September 3.
She screamed and the men ran off empty-handed along Stourbridge Road, heading away from Kidderminster.
Both men were wearing tracksuits, one of which had luminous stripes.
Police are urging any witnesses to the incident to contact Kidderminster CID by calling 101 and quoting incident number 823 of September 3.
