STOURPORT hockey players are organising their “hottest” fundraiser ever – inviting entrants to walk 20ft across burning wood embers.
The Firewalk will take place at Stourport Hockey Club on November 29 and those entering will have to be aged over 14 and commit to raising at least £50.
“In return they get full training to complete the epic challenge, along with a certificate to prove they took part,” said club spokesman Holly Lashford.
“This is an exciting opportunity to take part in a huge personal challenge.”
The embers will be heated to 1,236F – and, with training, those taking part will be able to walk over them without injury or pain.
Non-members have to pay £50 to take part and, if they raise anything above that, they can keep the balance for their own charity.
Anybody wishing to take part should email secretary.shc@gmail.com
