WYRE Forest MP visited Baxter College in Kidderminster to present a raft of awards to students at an evening ceremony.
Mark Garnier handed proud students their GCSE and A Level certificates and gave out trophies for outstanding effort, enthusiasm and achievement.
Special awards were presented to Daniel Scott for 100 per cent attendance over seven years, to Hanaa Finnie for achieving against the odds, to Callum Majumdar for the outstanding achievement of gaining 14 A* and A’s at GCSE and to Vice Principal Tim Waites for 20 years outstanding service to the school.
Mr Garnier said: “It is always a pleasure to visit Baxter College and share in their many successes. Everyone can be justly proud of their achievements.”
Principal Dave Seddon, said: “We are really grateful to Mark Garnier for giving up his time and presenting the awards despite the pressure of the job and especially so in the months before the election – it shows he cares and that’s what every student here knows – they are cared for in a very personal way.”
