GARY WATSON (Labour):
Gary lives with his wife and two children in the ward he seeks to represent. He works at West Midlands Safari Park. Gary has been an active Labour Party worker for a number of years and is now ready to use his undoubted energy for the wider community. Gary has welcomed the opportunity to be involved with the local PACT committee and considers this police initiative to have been a big success. He welcomes the considerable redevelopment taking place or planned for the town centre, but comments, "New housing and the upgrading of British Waterways land will mean more people living in our town centre. We need councillors who will fight for better public services and the infrastructure to cope with the extra people!"
