The past year has been a very progressive and fruitful year for the girls of the Stourport High School Year 9 Netball team.

Having increased their overall commitment to training and competition over the past year, the girls showed they’re one of the strongest teams within the district by coming runners-up at the District tournament. The girls then went on to represent the District at the Worcestershire County Tournament.

The teams strong showing this year has come from an increased commitment to training and an influx of new players, resulting in greater depth within the squad.

Off the Netball court, the girls act as great role models to one another and fellow members of their year group. Some of the team have also taken on leadership opportunities provided by the school both in school and at external events ran by the Wyre Forest.

These girls have shown exceptional and renewed commitment this year to improving their team performance.

The notable improvement in their performance has seen them show greater adaptability against tougher opposition and has also highlighted a far more positive outlook from all members of the team. Proving their right to be named junior team of the year.
