A KIDDERMINSTER hospice has announced it is to hold a series of fundraising events and campaigns to celebrate its 35th anniversary of becoming a registered charity.

Since 1981 Kemp Hospice has been providing specialist care to people living with the difficulties of a life limiting illness in Wyre Forest.

Over the recent years services have expanded and developed and they now support adults and children to come to terms with loss and bereavement of a loved one as well as providing ‘Hospice at Home’ care.

And to launch the start of the 35th birthday commemorations, Kemp are encouraging people in the local community to support them by taking on a sporting challenge to help them meet the annual £850,000 running costs.

Shelley Stanley, Events Fundraiser at KEMP said: “I hope the local community will support us during this time by taking on a challenge, such as a mud run, cycle ride or marathon.

“Our new challenge brochure is available to pick up from any of our retail shops or the hospice for anyone wishing to be inspired.”
