STAFF at Lloyds Bank in Kidderminster have offered a helping hand to KEMP Hospice's Donation Centre as part of a national scheme to support local organisations.
Volunteering under the company’s 'Day to Make a Difference' programme, workers spent a minimum of eight hours helping sort donated items at the centre in Lisle Avenue.
KEMP Donations Centre Manager, Lilian Griffiths, said: "This is a very busy time of year for KEMP and the donations team.
"Over Easter many people take the opportunity to have a clear out and this year, thanks to our very generous donors, we have a mega-mountain of donated items.
"We were really struggling to get through the back log, but then the Lloyds team stepped in to help and we really did and do appreciate all their hard work."
Lloyds Bank Personal Banking Advisor, Harriet Mathieson-Nock, said: "It's fair to say everybody loved it and we all remarked on what a wonderful team of volunteers KEMP has."
All KEMP Hospice services are provided free of charge yet require over £940,000 annually to be raised to continue to provide specialist services.
KEMP’s Head of Retail, Lynne Jones, added: "The heart of KEMP’s retail operation is at Lisle Avenue where donations are sorted prior to being sent out to our shops around the local area.
"We are extremely grateful to Lloyds’ staff for all their help and support getting us through this busy period."
