NATURE enthusiasts can enjoy an illustrated talk being given at a Stourport venue this month.

Friends of Bishops Wood are inviting people to the talk being given by Rosemary Winnall MBE, which takes place on Wednesday, June 8.

The talk is on Worcestershire wildlife and will be illustrated by her photographs of plants, insects, mammals and birds.

The speaker was for many years the education officer at Wyre Forest Discovery Centre, and is one of the principal authors and editors of the newly published The Nature of Wyre.

John Rhymer, the secretary of Friends of Bishops Wood, said: "Rosemary is much in demand as a speaker in venues around the West Midlands, and we are very lucky that she has agreed to give us a talk.

"The talk will be followed by a short AGM for Friends of Bishops Wood and anyone who wishes to stay on for this after Rosemary’s talk would be very welcome. “

The event is being held at Bishops Wood Centre, Crossway Green in Stourport, between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
