PARENTS, staff and pupils are looking forward to making their school's final summer fete the biggest and best ever ahead of the education switch.
Upper Arley CE First, which will shut its doors for the final time next month along with the other 44 district schools, is throwing open its doors on Saturday for the annual occasion.
The fund-raising event, which runs between 2pm and 4pm, will feature traditional stalls, refreshments and games - including maypole dancing.
Debbie Riley, chairman of The Friends of Upper Arley CE First School, said: "It is very picturesque up here and we are hoping to attract as many people as possible to make this fete one to remember."
